Azure Press was founded in 1994 by Tom Chillemi, and incorporated in 1995.  At the time, Chillemi was 17 years old and determined to break into the comic book industry.  To that end, he recruited a number of local creative talents for the production of Azure's first project, The Acolyte Chronicles, in the summer of 1995. As the book went to press and was well-received, the members of Azure Press made plans for other creative endeavors, including a second comic book and a tabletop role-playing game. Following the completion of the three-issue Acolyte Chronicles miniseries, the members took a long hiatus to begin their careers in a variety of creative fields including graphic arts, computer game design, and writing. Now, the founding members of Azure Press have come together to produce a second comic book series titled Storm Rider, and to see what other trouble they can get themselves into.
